Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said the rising cost of components in Apple’s supply chain could make the iPhone 14 $100 more expensive than the iPhone 13 in terms of retail price.
In the past, Apple was able to manage rising component prices and include them in production costs, but current conditions such as the semiconductor crisis, rising inflation, and supply chain disruptions could force Apple to change costs because the number of customers this year increased.

When it comes to pricing for the iPhone 14, Apple will face some tough choices, according to CCS Insight analyst Ben Wood. Businesses will also need to account for growing exchange rates in countries like the UK and India, alongside inflation and supply chain disruptions.
According to rumors, Apple will likely continue to use last year’s A15 Bionic chip in the standard iPhone 14 versions. Only the iPhone 14 Pro series can use the newer A16 Bionic.
This decision was initially supposed to be a temporary measure to deal with rising costs, but renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that this will be Apple’s new business model in the future, applying used for all iPhone models, in order to increase profits.
What do you think about this change? Surely there will be many people who have to think whether to buy iPhone 14 or not with such a huge price, we will have to work very hard to buy it. And you are a person who does not care about money, the iPhone 14 is still a great choice for you.
